KINGS RALLY

Well, the No Kings Rally this past Saturday appears to be a resounding success with an estimated 7 million largely peaceful protesters nationwide. The last No Kings Rally was estimated at 5 million participants.

Needless to say, there was no shortage of “No Kings Rally” criticism from the right, particularly from President Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Republican lawmakers. They were throwing around so many negative adjectives about Democrats that it was almost comical.

Speaker Johnson called Democrats Antifa, Communists, Marxists, pro-Hamas types and that they needed a stunt. Karoline Leavitt stated Democrat’s main constituency was Hamas, illegal aliens and violent criminals. There were so many negative adjectives thrown around about Democrats, that Republicans eventually ran out of negative adjectives, and had to revert to using Pookie-RayRay-Nem.

OK, that last comment might have been a stretch, but it is just to shed light on the level of vitriol espoused by Republicans against Democrats and The No Kings Rally. Donald Trump even produced an AI meme showing the president flying a fighter jet and dropping feces from the plane on peaceful “No Kings Rally” participants.

The makeup of the No Kings Rally participants is quite interesting. Rally participants represented a cross-section of the U.S. population across all demographics. Probably the most prominent and key demographic among the No King’s Rally participants was probably White seniors. They were out in large numbers and were very vocal with elaborate signs, wearing sweatpants, fanny packs, ball caps, New Balance tennis shoes and even wheelchairs if necessary. This fact may not bode well for Republicans in the mid-terms.

VOTER SUPPRESSION

There is a reason Trump is pushing for mid-decade gerrymandering in red states. His policies are underwater in every category, his poll numbers are dropping and with each and every day, Donald Trump is a very unpopular president. Trump is polling at around 37% and dropping, and could take down ballot Republicans with him. That’s the fear among Republican lawmakers even though they are too afraid to publicize it,

Trump wants to control elections by attempting to eliminate mail-in ballots, requiring ID’s beyond voter ID cards and expresses a desire to go to paper voting ballots only. Everything Trump is proposing is either designed to make voting harder or make it easier to illegally skew the election.

To be honest, our democracy is on life support right now. With all of the roadblocks Trump is attempting to implement, at a certain point with the current trajectory of the Trump administration, all of the gerrymandering in the world may not even matter. Eventually, you reach a point of diminishing returns, and I am predicting some of the gerrymandering may actually backfire in the mid-terms.

GET OUT AND VOTE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT BECAUSE IT MIGHT!

VENEZUELAN BOAT ATTACKS

We already knew many of these people that were killed by the U.S. military off the coast of Venezuela were just innocent boaters, and Trump just got caught by the President of Colombia. Colombian President Petro accused President Trump of murdering an innocent Colombian fisherman that was stalled while displaying his distress signal. they blew the boat up anyway. Trump responded the next day by lashing out at Petro as a “low rated and very unpopular leader, with a fresh mouth toward America”. President Trump said the United States is cutting off financial assistance to Colombia and warned he could go further.

Two survivors from a recent attack got released to their respective countries. They were from Ecuador and Colombia respectively. The Ecuadorian survivor was summarily released after an interview with Ecuadorian prosecutors because they said he didn’t commit a crime. The Colombian survivor is currently on a ventilator in a Colombian hospital and is seriously wounded. I don’t think the Trump administration wants any survivors to be interviewed by the press.

Coincidentally, Admiral Adam Holsey, head of the U.S. Southern Command, which oversaw the attacks on the boats off the coast of Venezuela, resigned from his post last week. There have been reports of disagreements with the White House over the controversial killings. Admiral Holsey got out while the getting was good.

I believe the U.S. military has destroyed eight boats now, and with no known evidence that all of these boaters were drug traffickers. In many instances, this may be murder, pure and simple. President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth are probably breaking the law, and it needs to stop. It is like the lives of Black and Brown people have no value because he is very nonchalant about the attacks. He doesn’t seem to care if there are innocent fishermen being killed or not and even made light of the fact that Venezuelan’s may not want to do much fishing anymore.

Let’s be clear, these attacks on boats off the coast of Venezuela aren’t about drug trafficking, they are about intimidating Venezuela as a prelude to an invasion by U.S. forces in an effort to make Venezuela the 51st state. President Trump is attempting to do an impersonation of his favorite mentor, Vladimir Putin.

Keep in mind, regardless of any of the current distractions, everything still points to the Epstein files. They are still lurking!
